The Website provides information concerning Patenti's patent valuation, standards intelligence, product-to-patent mapping, Data Assets, research, publications and related professional activities.
These Website Terms govern general Website use.
Purchases of Patenti Data Assets, commercial downloadable releases and associated API access are additionally governed by the Patenti Data Asset Purchase, Licence & API Terms applicable at the time of purchase.
Where Patenti and an organisation enter into a separately signed written agreement governing a transaction, that signed agreement prevails to the extent of any conflict.
2. Professional and Business Use
The Website and Patenti Data Assets are intended primarily for professional, institutional and business use.
No customer membership or user account is required for ordinary browsing or eligible guest purchases unless expressly stated otherwise.
Where a person uses the Website on behalf of an organisation, that person represents that they are authorised to do so for the relevant purpose.
3. Website Information
Website content may include descriptions of technologies, patents, standards, products, methodologies, datasets, analytical approaches, research outputs, statistics and other information.
Patenti may update, correct, modify or withdraw Website content from time to time.
General Website content is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute legal, accounting, financial, investment, patent-infringement or freedom-to-operate advice.
The description applicable to a purchased Data Asset is the product description and release information applicable when that purchase is completed.
4. Intellectual Property
Except where otherwise stated, Patenti owns or licenses the Website and Patenti-created material displayed on it, including branding, text, graphics, analytical structures, mappings, classifications, methodologies, visualisations and documentation.
Nothing in these Website Terms transfers ownership of Patenti intellectual property.
Website material may be viewed for legitimate internal professional evaluation.
Unless expressly permitted, users must not reproduce, systematically scrape, republish, sell, commercially redistribute, mirror or create a competing commercial service from substantial portions of Patenti proprietary Website content.
5. Patents, Standards and Third-Party Materials
References to patents, standards, companies, certification schemes, products, trademarks or third-party publications are provided for identification, analysis or contextual purposes.
Rights in patents, standards, trademarks, certification marks, public records and other third-party material remain with their respective owners.
